Interesting to get this perspective on Christianity in politics from your side of the pond. You may be aware how strikingly reticent Brit politics is about God compared with the US.

We are not without christianity in politics either - thankfully it is not on the same scale, but I do remember Tony Blair saying he asked God if he should go to war in Iraq, and Gordon Brown wont shut up about being a "son of the manse" We also have a bubch of odd balls called the Scottish Christian Party.
